General Questions
Is Avalanche Ranch a family-friendly place?
Yes. They must be supervised and respectful of quiet hours. Children are allowed in the pools and babies must wear swim diapers.
Is Avalanche Ranch a pet-friendly place to stay?
Yes. We allow up to two pets per cabin for a $50 fee per pet. Please see our pet policy.
Is Avalanche Ranch open year-round?
Yes, the office and lodging are open seven days a week, year-round. The Hot Springs are closed every Wednesday from 9 am to 5 pm for maintenance and cleaning.
What are your office/gift shop hours?
We are open daily from 9am-5pm.
Do you have Wi-Fi/cell service at Avalanche Ranch?
We do not have cell service here, and the cabins don’t have Wi-Fi. However, we do have a phone and Wi-Fi in our lodge, which is open to guests 24 hours a day. The only units with phones are the Ranch House and the Loft. The Loft also receives a Wi-Fi signal.
Lodging Questions
When is high/low season?
High seasons are Summer (Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend), the winter Holiday Season, Martin Luther King Weekend, and Presidents’ Day Weekend. Low Season is Winter (Labor Day until the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend).
Do you require minimum night stays?
We have a 3-night minimum stay during high season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). In low season (Labor Day to Memorial Day), we only have a 2-night minimum stay in the cabins and Ranch House. Year-round, there is no minimum night stay in the Wagons.
If you are interested in a shorter stay, call the office to see if there is one available, sometimes they come available between other reservations.
Do you provide linens at your cabins?
Yes, linens and towels are provided. Housekeeping is available for stays longer than 4 nights.
How far in advance should I make lodging reservations?
If you are looking at staying with us on a weekend, holiday or summer season, we suggest you plan at least 6 months in advance.
Do you have a restaurant?
We do not. All of the cabins have fully equipped kitchens. The wagons have an electric kettle, coffee pot and grill.
What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
For lodging reservations we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. 14 days prior to arrival the final balance is due. If 14 days or more notice is given, the deposit minus a $25 service fee ($100 for the Ranch House) will be refunded. Within 14 days of arrival the total balance is forfeited if cancellation occurs.
What do I do if I check in after 5pm?
We will leave a map for you on the office door with your name and your unit number. With the help of the map, you will find your unlocked unit. The key will be on the kitchen table. If you need assistance press the Call Button next to the office door.
Groups & Private Event Questions
Do you have weddings at Avalanche Ranch?
Yes. Our wedding season is from Memorial Day weekend through September. We require a full book-out of the property for a minimum of 3 nights plus an event fee. There is a 75 person capacity limit for the event. For more information please contact the office.
What is your max occupancy for events?
We allow a maximum of 75 people (including children).
What is the cost of your event package?
For weddings and special events we charge a $3500 event fee in addition to booking out the entire property for a minimum of 3 nights.
Do you host retreats at Avalanche Ranch?
Yes, we do have business, yoga, and wellness retreats. If you would like more information about hosting a retreat please contact the office before booking.
Can I book a group reservation?
Yes, the office can assist you with a group booking. We consider a group 3 or more units booked together. Some group bookings may include fees if tents, tables and chairs are needed.
Hot Springs Questions
How hot are the hot springs at Avalanche Ranch?
The pools range from 93 to 105 degrees.
What time are the Hot Springs open?
The Hot Springs are open around the clock for Lodging guests and are included from check-in to check-out. However they are CLOSED WEDNESDAYS from 9-5 for cleaning.

Do I need to make a reservation to use the Hot Springs?
If you are a lodging guest the hot springs are included in the nightly rate for all registered guests. If you are a day visitor you need to make a reservation in advance.
Is the Hot Springs clothing optional?
Swim suits are required at the hot springs. We do rent them if you forgot yours.
