The Crystal River Valley is a narrow canyon at the base of the looming Mount Sopris. The watershed feeds into the Roaring Fork River and later the greater Colorado River basin. Avalanche Ranch sits tucked in the Valley on a hillside overlooking the Crystal River at 6,800 feet. The views are breathtaking from every vantage point on the property. Nearby trails offer hiking, biking, and skiing, plus a half mile of private riverfront along the Crystal River for fishing. Four miles south, the quaint, historic town of Redstone offers dining and shopping.
