Planning Your Wedding or Special Event

Whether you are planning a wedding, private reception, birthday party, family reunion or honeymoon, Avalanche Ranch can host your special event for up to 150 people outside in a specified area of the grounds offering spectacular views.

There are two components to planning an Event at Avalanche Ranch:
Lodging Rental and Grounds Rental.

LODGING RENTAL: We require that all Avalanche Ranch cabins and the Ranch House be rented for the minimum of 3 nights/High Season; 2 nights/Low Season (with few exceptions). The ranch can provide accommodations for approximately 50 people. Click here for cabin and ranch house descriptions, interior photos, price lists, person/pet charges, and maximum occupancy. All prices are for double occupancy.

GROUNDS RENTAL: Each Colorado wedding or event is unique, requiring individual attention. The overall cost for an event at Avalanche Ranch depends on the number of people, buildings and tents used, services needed and the date of the event. Although prices may vary, the rates below give you an idea of the costs involved based on the number of guests. We will use the caterer's numbers as a final count.

EVENT PACKAGE: The rate for a 4 hour event, and up to 100 people is $2500 and includes two 20'x30' party tents and one 10'x10' tent, use of our picnic tables, banquet tables and chairs (20). For groups over 100, add $20 for each additional person. To extend your event time, add 20% for each additional hour. A 15% gratuity is added to the grounds fee for staff.

STAFF: We can provide staff for extra services such as assisting your caterer, running errands, decorating etc. at $25 per hour, per employee.

RENTALS/CATERING/MUSIC: We can provide a list of recommended services for Colorado caterers, musicians, florists, liquor, cake and party rental companies to assist you in planning your special Rocky Mountain event. We request from you a list of names and phone numbers for all the services you have hired, 30 days prior to the event. It is important to notify us, preferably in writing of any changes to these arrangements. Please note: Giving respect to our guests and neighbors, we require that all events and music end by 9:00pm.

RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS: A nonrefundable deposit of $500 is required to secure a date followed by a 50% deposit of the projected costs of the GROUNDS AND GROUP LODGING due within 30 days of the reservation The balance is due 45 days prior to the event. We require that one individual be responsible for handling all lodging reservations/ billings with each invited guest. It is suggested that cabins be assigned.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT: A $500 credit card damage deposit is required. The renter is responsible for guest damages and/or excessive use.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All deposits are nonrefundable. If cancellation notice is 45 days or less, the entire amount will be forfeited.

We wish to make your Rocky Mountain wedding or group event perfect in every way. Whenever possible, we will tailor our services to fit your needs. In order to do this, it may be necessary to have some flexibility in our rates and policies. Although we have attempted to outline most of the necessary items for your event, every event is different and requires ongoing discussion and updates between the parties.
